App version notice: The separate AI data-sharing controls described below are available in MAVI build 49 and later. If you use an older build, update before using AI features to access these controls. Older builds may automatically include imported vehicle-report excerpts and Garage Vault summaries in AI requests. You can find your build number at the bottom of MAVI Settings.
1. Optional AI sharing
MAVI does not include advertising or tracking SDKs. Vehicle records are stored on your device. AI features require separate permission in Settings → AI data sharing before requests are sent. You can leave this off and use the dashboard. Turning it off blocks new AI requests; it cannot recall data already sent. Changing the provider or server requires a new choice.
2. Information used by AI
With your permission, AI requests include your message or speech transcript, recent conversation, vehicle profile, current vehicle readings, diagnostic information and service information relevant to the answer. Imported vehicle reports and Garage Vault documents and summaries are not automatically attached. Information you include in a message can still be sent; avoid sharing personal or sensitive details.
3. Recipients
MAVI AI: requests go over HTTPS to GHB Ventures' server at mavi.ghb.ventures, then to its third-party AI processing service. An Apple-signed purchase record is sent to GHB Ventures to verify access. The server retains a transaction identifier and request counts for access and usage limits. It is configured not to store chat content; the receiving AI service processes requests under its own privacy and retention terms. If you configure your own provider, AI requests go directly to that selected provider or server under its terms, without passing through GHB Ventures. Settings shows the selected destination before you enable sharing.
4. Local records and API keys
Trip, fill-up and service history, vehicle reports, Garage Vault files, vehicle profiles and chat history are stored locally. Your API key is stored in the iOS Keychain with device-only accessibility. Removing an app may leave Keychain entries behind; use Settings → Erase All My Data to remove MAVI's saved key and local records. Exports or copies you have saved elsewhere must be deleted separately.
5. Apple services and location
Apple handles payments; MAVI does not receive your payment card details. Map rendering and routes use Apple MapKit. Location supports maps and local trip logging. Speech recognition uses Apple's Speech framework and may use Apple servers depending on device and language support. These Apple services are governed by Apple's privacy terms and the permissions you grant.
6. Age confirmation
MAVI is intended for adults age 18 and older. The app stores your self-confirmation locally and does not request a birth date or identity document. This is not independent identity or age verification.
7. Your choices and deletion
Review or revoke AI sharing in Settings. Export local history in Settings → Data & History. Erase All My Data removes MAVI's local records and saved keys; it does not cancel an Apple subscription or remove copies already sent to a provider. Manage or cancel a subscription in MAVI Settings → Subscription. For questions or requests about server usage records, contact support@ghbventures.com.
8. Security and contact
MAVI uses iOS device protections and the Keychain for saved API keys. Cloud AI connections use HTTPS. If you configure an HTTP server on your local network, that connection is not encrypted; use HTTPS where possible. No security measure eliminates every risk.
